Hank
Today I helped sponsor a Teen Summit. It was attended by 95 high risk, seventh and eighth graders and went eight hours! We had lunch and dinner and nine breakout sessions. Hank Baskett, III, was our keynote speaker. Hank is a wide receiver for the Philadelphia Eagles - for those who may not know him. And he is our very own Clovis boy! His dad, Hank II is a good friend of Phil's. Hank is such a great role model and is anxious to give back to the community.
The t-shirts say, "Stop Toxic Movies - Smoking in the movies means death in real life." in recognition of "International Smoke-free Movies Week of Action".
I went immediately from that event to give a training on spit tobacco to a group of 4-H leaders from our county. Man, what a difference in kids! These kids will be peer educators and give the presentation to all the 4-H clubs in the county.
....I'm pretty well wasted tonight! I don't know why Phil hit the sack before me....he got up at 4:30 a.m. He and a friend put out seventeen American flags around town (a Kiwanis activity). Then they drove our one ton to Mountainaire, NM (5 hours away), loaded about three cords of wood, drove home and then picked up the flags and came home! That's REALLY WASTED!!
