Another crazy week!
After an awesome but exhausting four days working a Walk to Emmaus, on Monday I followed a snowstorm to Oklahoma City to attend a Spit Tobacco National Conference at the Cox Convention Center. When you tell people you are attending a Spit Tobacco Convention they look at you really strange! It was really a good conference, however as we learned about the latest research, cessation techniques, youth advocacy activities and sinister tactics of Big Tobacco. Here I am with Rick Bender, the "Half-off guy". Quite by accident I ended up sitting on the same table with Rick.
While in OKC I got to stay with one of the most precious person in all the world, my sister-in-law, Marilyn. She lives in a really nice condo and is getting to really enjoy life. She has gotten to travel abroad four times in the last few years. You go, girl! We had a great time yacking for hours! Here we are in an Arabic-Mediterranean Restaurant specializing in Kabobs and flavored tobacco smoked out of gizmo's that resembled a cross between a bagpipe and a Kerby vacuum cleaner! We passed on the smokes! (Nephew, Gabriel took the picture.)
