ELevate!!
Elevate!!
Before reading this, you might want to read the previous post which is positioned before Melissa's birthday blog entry.
I had heard so much great stuff about "ELevate" our youth service on Wednesday night I just had to go and see what it was all about. Wow! It was just awesome! There were 72 in attendance not counting adults and there was an incredible spirit. (I wish these pictures were better but I was inhibited by lighting and the fact that I didn't want to be distracting.
The evening starts at seven with praise and worship and prayer. The praise band consisted of our music minister on the keyboard, his son on the drums
........Nick, Jr (Music Pastor's son)
and two guitar players. The sound they put out was that which many churches would kill for (religiously speaking, of course). Toward the end of the praise and worship is prayer time. Pictures are worth 1000 words! Need I say, "Prayer time is very intense"?
After prayer is the breakout sessions. ELevate has three levels, division being level of maturity or spiritual understanding. Appropriately each takes place on one of the three levels in our church building.
Jacob, a youth and children's worker holds one of the breakout sessions.
After thirty-five minutes of the breakout sessions there is a visit to the snack bar, games and fellowship.
.........afterwards, some food, fun and fellowship
aerobic worship downstairs for the kids.
........resting in Jesus!
.......big brother, little sister
And no one wants to go home!
NOW THAT'S SOMETHING TO BLOG ABOUT!
