Down By The Creek Bank and Crossing the Creek!

Unfortunately, these are the best pictures I was able to get of our hiking, fishing and stepping stones and log crossing. These had to be taken on my zoom from the truck on the road! I would have loved to have had pictures of our hike OR Grandpa trying to teach two three year-olds how to stream fish from a brush covered bank!

This past week we took the twins on their first camping trip. Well, we called it "Fancy Camping" because we went in a fifth wheel. We had been reading a book to Hannah called "Fancy Nancy" so Grandpa suggested we named fifth wheel camping "Fancy Camping"! After all, REAL camping requires a tent! We had a GREAT time! Unfortunately, and much to my disappointment, the battery of my camera decided to die right after we got there so the only photos I got were the ones I took at breakfast with the camera plugged into our generator and some from the road in the truck while the kids played in the creek. Ugh! There were so many Kodak and bloggable moments!



Grandpa makes us a REAL camping breakfast! Pancakes! Bacon! Eggs!

Finger painting was fun! We got more on our bodies...hands.....legs.....tummies than on the paper. We also played "Candyland" and Grandma's favorite childhood box game, "Uncle Wiggly". Grandma also brought a bunch of library books including five about camping! We really loved "We Are Going On a Bear Hunt!".
